One-to-One Dramaturgy with Haley
2-hour online sessions to move your solo show forward — clearly, practically, and with a big dose of courage and confidence.
I offer one-to-one dramaturgy to actors, writers,, performance artists and anyone making a solo show. All sessions take place on Zoom and are 2 hours long, £300.
These sessions are focussed on you as an artist in process. They’re super practical; you’ll be reading and/or performing your work every time we meet. We’ll talk briefly, try things out, and I’ll offer exercises, prompts and dramaturgical feedback to help you build on what you’ve brought in. By the end, we’ll define your next steps so you leave feeling unstuck, re-energised, and clear on what to do next.
My goal is that our work together is fun, rigorous, and gives you space to hone your instincts and keep unleashing your one-of-a-kind creative voice.
Who these sessions are for?
These one-to-one dramaturgy sessions are for you if…
You’re developing a solo show (or want to return to one that’s gone cold).
You’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or not sure what the show is yet.
You want a thoughtful outside eye who’s been through the whole process — from idea to award-winning touring show.
You’re ready to do the work: bring pages, ideas, questions and a willingness to experiment.
What will we cover?
Depending on where you’re at with your show, our time together will be spent digging into any/all of the following:

how to hone in on a central question or theme of your show
finding the right structure for your work and how to implement it

building challenges for yourself into your work
how to rock your wheelhouse and work with your weakness to make you as comfortable as possible on stage alone
